On the Day
Registration will be at the Event Centre on the field above the slipway in Balloch Castle Country Park. It will open at 0800 for all events, and will close at 0900 for Bikeless Beastie competitors.
Registration & Race Packs
**We do not send race packs out by post**
Your race packs are ready to pick up on the morning of the event from Registration - this will have your race number and timing chip in. There will be a tub of safety pins at registration if you need them to attach your race number to your Tri-belt or T-Shirt.
Transition will be open from 0800 until 0900. It will then remain closed until every competitor has finished the Aquathlon. Only competitors will be allowed in transition. Boxes and bags are not permitted in transition.
The Race briefing for the Bikeless Beastie will be given at 0900 on the waterfront by the Race Director and Tri Scotland Official.
The run course has changed from 2 years ago to remove the crossover between bikes and swimmers exiting the water. The maps will be available on race day near Registration, but don't worry, there will be plenty of marshals and signage to keep you right!
There will be a staffed baggage tent available next to Registration.
St Mocha will be at the event selling hot drinks, soup and ice cream. We will also have water available for all participants and free fruit for post event energy.
The prizegiving will take place after our last competitor crosses the finish line. We have prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd men and women across the finish line. All finishers will receive a goodybag and medal - handmade locally.
Triathlon Scotland will present the National Championship Prizes. The Age Groups eligible are: Junior(17-19), Senior (20-39), Veteran (40-49), Super Veteran (50-59), Vintage (60-69), Super Vintage (70-79) and Classic (80+). Please let us know if you need to update your details (i.e. not a BTF member when you entered) and wish to be considered for the Championship Categories.
We will have one male and one female tent available for changing in. There are permanent toilets located at the slipway building and at Balloch Tourist Information. We will also have 4 'portaloos' at the Event Centre.
British Triathlon Members
If you have entered as a British Triathlon Federation Member then you must present your membership card at Registration. If you do not present evidence of your membership you will be required to purchase a one day race license for £6 before being allowed to race.
We hope that everyone will have a great day, to ensure this happens please familiarise yourself with the BTF rules for events.
